Project Background

Project footprint: 685 ㎡. Daily sorting volume: up to 80,000 pcs. Located in Austria, the project focuses on transporting and transferring imported/exported parcels for e-commerce parcels in Austria and the adjacent regions of Germany and Italy. Faced with high throughput, limited space, and diverse parcel types, the site required a new sorting model. Wayzim delivered a customized narrow belt sorting system that replaces manual operations with automated processes, significantly improving efficiency, accommodating various parcel types, and reducing operating costs.

Customer Pain Points
01
Small site area and intense sorting pressure
With the rapid growth of local e-commerce driven by tourism, the demand for sorting small parcels has increased significantly. Traditional manual sorting models are struggling to cope efficiently with the volume. Additionally, the limited site area is not enough to install multiple manual sorting tables to meet the high sorting demand.
02
Diversified types of sorted parcels
The project site involves a variety of parcel types, and the existing sorting equipment cannot meet the needs for sorting parcels in multiple types and sizes simultaneously.
Solution
The narrow belt sorting system customized by Wayzim meets the sorting demand while making full use of space.
The system contains 13 conveyors, dynamic DWS systems, and line scan cameras, equipped with 74 sorting discharge points and 430 carriers, and can efficiently and accurately sort multiple types of small parcels. The narrow belt sorter runs at a speed of up to 1.8 m/s, with a daily processing capacity of up to 80,000 items.
The entire sorting process is fast and efficient, significantly improving sorting efficiency.
